How long will it take to flatten puckering on the left incision? (Photos)

Hi sobrien91. It can take a few months for sutures to dissolve under the skin. Sometimes as the sutures are dissolving, it can cause the "puckering" effect. Follow up with your surgeon, being that each Doctor has a different preference in their patients post op instructions. I tell my patients to gently massage in a circular motion to break up and scar tissue and flatten out incisions along with using a silicone scar cream. Hope this helps and best of luck. 

Congratulations on your recent surgery! It is still very early days for you. The scars will gradually settle over the next 3 to 6 months and can take about 12 to 18 months to fully mature.

What you have experienced is normal. It usually takes a few months for it to flatten out. You can apply a scar cream that is advised by your surgeon to help flatten it. Your appearance will still get better as you heal over the next few months.
