I'm wondering if I'll end up with wrinkled skin ones ft is gone? I do have some wrinkling Uber my arm. I'm young 69 year old women.I'm trying to avoid having it cut.

For my patients with excess loose skin the best procedure is a surgical brachioplasty. Unfortunately it comes with a scar but it does remove the most skin. Any type of liposuction with a skin tightening technique can be helpful but it won't totally make it tight. We often combine ThermiTight with lipo of the arms. So it is a compromise of no scar but a lesser result. Make sure to see one that can provide experience and guidance for both and a board certified plastic surgeon may be the best option.

Thank you for your question.  Looking at the photo you have provided, I would suggest a brachioplasty to be done.  This will allow your surgeon of choice to remove the extra skin and reduce the size of the arm.  Laser lipo will not take care of all the extra skin and can possibly make the issue worse by removing fat.  I would suggest seeing a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon.  Best of luck to you.

Genzi, Thank you for your inquiry.  The liposuction can remove most of the excess fat and Laser and BodyTite will tighten the skin up to 2/3 of the tightening of an arm lift / Brachioplasty.  Arm lift or Brachioplasty will give you a bit more skin tightening, but will leave a long scar and have a longer recovery. Your skin is already a bit wrinkled and very lax. Liposuction with minimally invasive skin tightening will help a good deal, but may not get you all the way to where you want to be.  I recommend you consult with a surgeon or two who can appreciate your goals and concerns and will give you a recommendation that will be best for you.

Hi.  Based on your photo, I think that noninvasive and minimally invasive options are likely to leave you less than satisfied.  You are more likely a good candidate for a brachioplasty or arm lift.  There is obviously a longer scar with that procedure, but there is typically a very significant contour improvement that goes along with that.  I would recommend consulting with a board certified plastic surgeon with good experience in this area.  Good luck and take care, Dr. Howell

this needs liposuction + internal heating / J plasma + Brachioplasty.  without skin removal, you will have loose skin with liposuction alone. with liposuction and internal heating it will be better but still be wrinkly.

You need a formal evaluation by an expert in body shaping and contouring to determine what is best.  Traditional liposuction awake and smart liposuction are old methods and do very poorly for tightening skin or significant skin tightening or contouring.  Small problem areas can be improved slightly by these methods.  The best in body contouring not only removes fat with energy devices like VASER ultrasound but also internally heat the skin with radio-frequency devices such as J PLASMA/RENUVION, InMode BodyTite, ThermiRF to heat the under surface of the skin and tighten it at the same time as fat removal. These combinations are called 4D HIDEF VASER contouring and can only be done by a well . trained body contouring specialist. At the same time fat should be harvested, PRP and stem cells added and injected into muscles or indentations/cellulite to get body shaping and contouring.  This is known as a Brazilian butt lift when you inject the fat to the buttock for contouring and lifting, but fat can also be used in areas such as the chest/breast, arms/shoulders, calves and face.  Cellulite should also be treated with cellfina, sculptra, subcision and/or fillers such as bellafill, renuva synthetic fat, or sculptra.  If skin is very loose before surgery then it will need to be removed such as lower abdominal skin (tummy tuck/abdominoplasty), breast skin (breast lift), arm skin (brachioplasty).  Overall you need a full assessment, but simple liposuction alone will not tighten skin and needs a combination of various methods -- fat removal, skin tightening, defining, fat grafting, skin removal -- to get the best in body contouring and body sculpting.  Dr. Emer.

based on your photo, it looks like you have loose skin on your arm so liposuction won't provide significant improvement and you will most likely need arm lift in order to make it tight again.  However, from the photographs, it seems that you have more skin rather than fat and Laser liposuction may not give complete results. However, your photographs show that you are an ideal candidate for brachioplasty and you will not develop any kind of wrinkles.

Thanks for the photo- it was very helpful! Your photo appears to show that your main problem is loose skin under the arms that is creating the "bat wing" appearance. LaserLipo will just make this worse, sort of like removing stuffing from a pillow - the walls of the pillow get floppier. Sometimes we can do a minimally invasive procedure such as BodyTite or REenuvion  to help tighten the skin but you would need to be assessed in person by a physician who is experienced in this treatment to determine the amount of skin laxity and fat present. Sometimes tightening the skin will require surgery but a small incision in the armpit can be done rather than a long scar the length of your arm. I would suggest getting consultation by a plastic surgeon experienced in BodyTite or Reunvion to be properly assessed, who can then advise you as to the treatment options and the results that you would receive from each option so you can make an informed decision.  Best wishes, Mary Beth Mudd

People of advanced age or after a massive weight loss, generally will have a significant amount of loose skin under their arms. In some individuals an arm tuck is necessary in order to produce the best results, and in another group of patients a procedure called j-plasma tissue tightening in combination with liposuction maybe the answer.
