Lumecca can work very well for spots and fractora can be used for the wrinkles.Kenneth Hughes, MDLos Angeles, CA
Thank you for your question. Fractora would be very helpful for the treatment of chest wrinkles as the radio-frequency (RF) energy reaches deep into the dermis and serves to tighten the skin and generate new collagen. While it may have some impact on the sun spots, an IPL with a device such as Lummeca would be more beneficial than Fractora. Sculptra is another option that could be considered for the treatment of chest wrinkles or in combination with Fractora. Sculptra contains small particles of poly-L-Lactic Acid which will stimulate collagen production. Moving forward it will be important to limit your sun exposure to prevent premature aging of the skin. I hope this was helpful - Dr. Moore.
Dear RoxyThank you for your question.Fractora does work extremely well for wrinkles and skin tightening in general.Age spots on the chest are difficult as the suggest that your chest skin is thin and damaged. Fractora is not the best option.Lasers are treacherous on the chest but you want to be sure of the diagnosis of your brown spots before going in to treatment. In my hands RF works really well for age spots etc.Kind Regards Dr Dinesh Maini Zenith Cosmetic Clinics
Fractora is a phenomenal treatment for chest wrinkles. I prefer to do these treatments on very high settings so I numb the treated area with a lidocaine block beforehand. This allows me to treat at the highest levels of the machine and get more out of a single treatment. Fractora, however, does not treat sunspots as it is radio frequency only. It does not have a laser or light component to it which is what would treat discolorations. However, InMode Aesethetics that makes Fractora RF also make Lumecca, which is the best IPL on the market. So if you find an office that has Fractora they may also have Lumecca so that you can do both.
