Do Lumigan and Latisse use the exact same ingredients at the exact same strength?

Other than the packaging, Latisse and Lumigan are identical.  We recommended Lumigan to patients years before Latisse was approved.  Put a drop in the cap and use a very fine eyeliner brush.  It works better than the brushes that come with Latisse anyway. 

Lumigan and Latisse both contain the ingredient bimatoprost. However, they do not contain the same concentration or "strength"Lumigan is weaker and contains the drug at a concentration of 0.01 % bimatoprost.Latisse is stronger and contains the drug at a concentration of 0.03 % bimatoprost.

Lumigan is a prescription used to treat glaucoma, with a side effect being eyelash growth. Lumigan was being used for cosmetic purposes before being labeled and sold as Latisse.Many practices who sold the product Lumigan, instructed their patients to use once a day with an eyeliner brush to the lash line.I would recommend consulting with your provider prior to using any prescription product.
