The bump that was removed is made of bone and cartilage. Once these tissues are removed, they don't grow back. However, during the healing process, it is possible for scar tissue to develop under the skin. This can look like the bump grew back. This is very unusual. One way to reduce the chance of this happening is to have a gentle recovery. Make sure you are resting and not too active. Assuming you had a splint on your nose after surgery, it is important to leave this in place until your surgeon removes it. Following the postoperative instructions will increase the chance of a nice outcome. Good luck and be patient.Dr. Parham Ganchi - NJ Plastic Surgeon
