I am 10 days post op from a tummy tuck. I understand there is a lot of swelling, but I see no sign of a flat tummy here, whatsoever. One side feels hard, the other side is a mixture between hard and soft. my ps thoight i may have a sermoa at my last appointment, and tried to aspirate, but nithing came out. He the. Said he thought it was just swelling and left it alone. I now have tons of swelling, along with an opening in my incision that will be looked at next week. Please tell me if this looks normal?

Answer: Swelling is normal after tummy tuck Swelling is common after surgery and you'll find that it adds the pounds as well. Allow yourself a couple of months for the majority of swelling to subside, as this is generally how long it takes. You'll find that your weight will gradually reduce as the swelling subsides.Tips to help swelling:drink fresh water and go to the washroom regularlycut down on saltleisurely walk around to keep your circulation goingwear your compression garment as advisedeat a healthy and balanced dietPlease talk to your surgeon if swelling is of particular concern, as they may be able to help you with advice specific to your situation. Answer: Seroma vs swelling
Great question-
Your abdomen does seem somewhat convex after a full abdominoplasty- but it is too early to tell if it is swelling or a seroma. I would continue your proscribed postoperative care regimen and see your surgeon next week as planned.. Let us know how it goes.

Answer: Postop swelling after TT is normal
Thanks for your question and pic. Nothing looks out of the ordinary at this point. As has been mentioned, swelling is normal at this point. Your appearance is affected by not being able to stand up straight and likely some bloating. It is also very common to have a small area that is slow to heal in that long incision. Hang in there. It should get better overy the next couple of weeks.
