1 week post-op. Can I remove my tape and use Tegaderm instead over my incisions? (photo)

I am a week post OP from my breast reduction. My dr did not do an anchor incision. I saw him two days ago and he said we are leaving the tape on. My problem is the tape they used is very sticky and leaving residue to where lint and clothing sticks to it. I was wondering can I take the tape off, clean the area and use tegaderm to replace the old tape? So it wont cause clothing and the bra to stick anymore?

Thank you for your question.  Always best advice to follow the directions of your surgeon.  He or she knows you best and knows what was done.  Typically if there is a sticky residue left on the skin, your surgeon can provide you with a topical to remove it.  Best of luck!

I try to use as few dressings as possible as I have seen allergic reactions to so many products.
