Hello, Thanks for your question. You may cut/shave the hair after a laser hair removal session. It is recommended that you do not pluck or wax the follicles while you are in the process of LHR. The purpose of shaving the area prior to the treatment is so the lasers energy is not wasted on the length of the follicle and the energy can go deeper into the root of the follicle to kill the follicle. Hair growth in the treated area can also cause smoke vapors in the treatment room, which do not smell good. Sometimes it is best to come in without shaving so that the technician can see the hair growth, and then the technician should be able to shave the area prior to treatment.Good Luck!
