I had an ectropion repair on January 28. The repair was done on one eye. This was done to correct ectropion that occurred after skin pinch. . He did a lateral cantophexy on the other eye to tighten the coners and improve symmetry . It's been about 2 1/2 weeks and the lower lid of the eye that I had the ectropion repair on is still high giving that eye an Asian look. And it's smaller then the other eye About how long does it take for the lid to take its final shape

Answer: I would not concerned until you are 4 month out.
It appears the upper eyelid with extra crease is more droopy (ptosis) with compensatory elevation of the same side brow. You may benefit from ptosis surgery. Best to see an oculoplastic specialist for evaluation. Sometimes filler injection can help camouflage asymmetry.
This can be a fairly common occurrence. The ointment is helpful along with protection of the eye so that it does not continue to be irritated and inflamed.
Most patients on whom I performed lower eyelid blepharoplasty find that 2 weeks is plenty of time to recover. There can of course be Exceptions to every rule. The majority of bruising and swelling resolves within the first 2 weeks in most cases. If blepharoplasty is performed...
