This is difficult to answer without pictures and needs an in-person evaluation, because results are variable. Thermage is a great skin tightening option. For best results, I often recommend Thermage in combination to ultherapy, venus legacy and/or sculptra. See an expert for a formal consultation. Best, Dr. Emer
Thermage is a radiofrequency device that sends a controlled current to the deep layer of the skin to stimulate your body to produce new collagen thus aiding in skin tightening. Patients typically see satisfying results with one treatment and will repeat the procedure every 1-2 years. The procedure itself lasts for about an hour and you will see results almost immediately and improvement of tightening for up to 6 months. Thermage is a great option for patients looking for skin tightening with absolutely no down time. I recommend making an appointment with a board certified dermatologist to discuss all options.
Thermage treatment stimulates your own body to firm and tighten. One treatment is all that is needed to put the body's collagen producing system into high gear. The process takes time however. There is immediate tightening but this is very subtle. Over several weeks results increase and are significant by 3 months. Overall we recommend that Thermage be done about every 18 to 24 months for maintenance.
One of the benefits of Thermage is the ease of the procedure. It takes only a single procedure to have excellent results. The procedure itself takes about an hour and requires no preparation and has no down time. The benefits and results of the procedure take several months to see and you can repeat this procedure every year depending on how much skin tightening and collagen remodelling you desire. Please consult an expert in Thermage for the best results. Best, Dr. Green
Thermage® is a safe, non-invasive, radiofrequency (RF) cosmetic procedure that’s clinically proven to help smooth, tighten and contour skin for an overall younger looking appearance. The treatment delivers natural looking results with little to no downtime —on all skin colors, on and off the face, all in a single procedure. Fast and easy, you can even come in during your lunch break and return to work after! Thermage® uses radiofrequency technology to heat the deep, collagen rich layers of your skin. The heat helps tighten existing collagen and stimulate the formation of new collagen, which reduces sagging, renews contours, and improves the smoothness and texture of the skin’s surface. Comfort Pulse Technology, including a vibrating handpiece delivers enhanced patient comfort. On the face, Thermage® can treat sagging skin, loose jowls, lack of definition in the jaw line, sagging neck skin (“turkey neck”), wrinkles and fine lines, and lack of definition in the lips. Around the eyes, Thermage® can treat under eye bags, hooding, rough texture on the eyelids, wrinkles and fine lines, and other contributors to tired looking eyes. Elsewhere on the body, Thermage® can treat wrinkled, sagging or bulging skin as well as the appearance of cellulite! While you will see an improvement immediately, Thermage® usually takes up to 6 months to see the maximum result and this improvement is said to last approximately 18 months. Often patients repeat Thermage® more often to get additional tightening. It's important, of course, to make sure you see a board certified plastic surgeon or dermatologist because results can be variable depending on who is performing the procedure.
It is possible that Cool-smooth from Coolsculpting, or Exilis or Thermage can all help to improve the situation. I have treated a number of patients who have had similar problems. Please consult an expert in this type of problem for the best cosmetic result. Best, Dr. Green
Thermage can help improve the jawline but the treatment works best if the full face is treated. Thermage uses radiofrequency to deliver heat to the skin's dermis which triggers collagen tightening and remodeling. The result is skin tightening. If you think about the skin of the face, the sa...
Both Thermage and ThermiTight use radiofrequency energy to tighten skin. Thermage is noninvasive, while ThermiTight uses a probe that’s inserted under the skin to not only contract the tissues but also melt small amounts of fat. I would probably choose ThermiTight for your underarms because it l...
