I have loose under arm skin after losing weight, predominantly on this arm as I gained more weight on this side and the skin underneath the arm is slightly wrinkled and loose. Can any treatments be used to improve this area?
Answer: Can Thermage Tighten Loose Underarm Skin? Thermage or ThermiTight Tightens Underarm Skin Both Thermage and ThermiTight use radiofrequency energy to tighten skin. Thermage is noninvasive, while ThermiTight uses a probe that’s inserted under the skin to not only contract the tissues but also melt small amounts of fat. I would probably choose ThermiTight for your underarms because it looks like you may have a bit of fat as well as loose skin. Consulting with a board-certified dermatologist will help you choose the technique that’s best for you.

Answer: Thermage® can offer great results on loose, crepey skin. Thermage® is a non-invasive cosmetic procedure designed to combat loose or crepey skin by using radiofrequency technology to stimulate the production of collagen. As such, it could be a potential solution for your loose under arm skin. The first step you should take is booking a consultation with a reputable cosmetic surgeon with Thermage® experience and discussing your suitability and available options. Depending on the outcome of this appointment, you could soon be on your way to tighter, more toned arms.

Answer: Thermage and Ultherapy can improve crepey arm skin The fine skin of the upper inner arm can be very annoying, especially with age and weight loss. Surgery is an option when there is massively excess skin (after major weight loss) but it leaves serious scars. Most people have crepey and loose skin that can benefit from non invasive skin tightening procedures like Thermage Body and/or Ultherapy. Both work by creating heat in the deep layers of the skin resulting in a "shrink wrap" effect and increased collagen production. Ultherapy(ultrasound energy)can be focused precisely into the skin for very targeted treatments. Thermage is good for large areas like abdomen and thighs, as well as upper arm. Granted, the results are moderate and sometimes a second treatment is recommended to increase the benefits. The beauty is that there is no downtime and rarely and side effects. And you don't have to put up with surgery or surgical scars.

Answer: Loose Skin on Arms and Thermage and Coolsculpting I treat a great deal of patients who are self conscious about skin laxity on their arms and want this area to be tightened. I utilize a combination of Thermage with the new CPT tip which tightens the skin and Coolsculpting to remove excess fat in the area. The combination is extremely effective. Please consult an expert in the arms and Thermage. Best, Dr. Green
