Is this normal? Post-op endoscopic brow lift. I am very scared. (photos)

Question

I just had an endoscopic brow lift. This is a mere six hours post-op. What I don't understand is why would my left eye brow be hiked up an inch and a half away from my eye, while the right eye brow is much lower and goes up and down? I can't find any post-op photos on the internet that look anything like mine. My doctor assured me immediately post op that everything would be ok. Please tell me honestly, did something go terribly wrong? Or is this somehow going to be ok?

Best to raise your concern at this time with your surgeon. Early results can vary depending on technique, etc. As suggested by other doctor, repost in a few weeks if still significant difference.

Thank you for the question and sharing your photo and concerns.   If you are only hours after the procedure, there can be significant distortions from swelling as well as lingering local anesthesia effects that could impact the movement and appearance of your forehead.  I assume you will be seeing your surgeon tomorrow...please express and discuss your concern with them as I think you will feel reassured.  There is noting to do right now other than let the swelling resolve and healing occur.  If you still have concerns about asymmetries after 6 weeks, discuss again with your surgeon. Generally speaking, you will find that it is really not possible with an endoscopic approach to "overdo" your lift.  I really think what you are seeing is likely due to swelling as well as effects from your local anesthetic.  Give it time and keep talking with your surgeon. An endoscopic brow lift is usually a much more conservative approach. I do have a "safety" mechanism so if the patient wishes them brought down, I release and the eyebrows do drop. They do "settle" with time and the first day they are the highest but I would definitely talk with your plastic Surgeon about your concerns.

Things should settle down by two weeks. If you still have concerns then, take another picture and submit it along with a preoperative photo if you want opinions from ReaLSelf doctors. Your  surgeon  should be addressing your condition right now. Techniques vary from surgeon to surgeon as can early results.
