Scabs still falling at 3 weeks, is this normal or slow healing?

Hi I'm 3 weeks post op my scabs have started falling off but still not off yet. Is this slow healing or is it normal to still have scabs at 3 weeks. Thanks

It is recommended that you try to get to your goal weight that you can maintain before surgery. Be sure to see a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who specializes in gynecomastia surgery. Good luck!

It's a good question. Like most procedures in plastic surgery it's best if you reach your goal weight, or baseline, before having the procedure. This will help your surgeon create the most long-lasting result.

HiWay too early to judge. Give it a minimum of 3 months for all the swelling to resolve especially after a revision. Lots of scar tissue needs to be smoothed out. Hang in there!Best

Thank you for your picture.  It appears that liposuction would be the most effective treatment for your gynecomastia.  This will not affect your tattoo.  Best wishes

The pectoral muscles are not usually involved in gynecomastia surgery.  Once your plastic surgery approves you to workout at the gym, you should be able to build those muscles with body building exercises. However, the larger/stronger pecs may not fill out the "empty spaces".Kenneth Hughes, MD,...

Thank you for sharing your question and photograph. If the depigmentation is the sar from the incision used to remove the gland this is unlikely to materially change over time but you could pursue tattooing after a year.  If the depigmentation is along the skin adjacent to the incision then ...
