How long do I have to wait to get my cheek filler dissolved?

Longterm filler problems include migration, edema, and nodularity. Filler migration and permanence is a very common problem because there are many different types of HA fillers on the market and each is specified for a specific part of the face. Use of highly cohesive fillers on thin skin may cause swelling and nodularity. If patients have filler migration or nodules, we recommend a combination approach of filler reversal with enzymes Hylenex and Hyaluronidase in different strengths to dissolve the filler. We may also need to add Kenalog to the mix in order to reduce fibrous tissue. If the filler does not dissolve, it either means the filler is not HA material or we need more enzyme. The HA reversal can be combined with other lasers and skin treatments at the same time, and it usually (usually) does not affect adjacent tissue.

Hi,Generally, we advise patients to wait 2-3 weeks to filler to settle before dissolving.  At this point, you provider can dissolve the excess Voluma.  Due to its chemical nature, Voluma generally requires 2-3 sessions of hyaluronidase to fully dissolve.  Best of luck!Warmly,Dr. Liu

Sorry to hear that you're having a bad time with your cheek fillers.
I would always recommend giving your fillers a couple of weeks for any swelling and bruising to settle so you can see what the final result is going to be. If you still don't like it at this stage then your original aesthetics doctor should be happy to see you again and make a plan to sort thing out for you.

Sorry to hear about your unfortunate experience. 
Generally hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved at any point in time.
We usually recommend 2 weeks to allow for any initial swelling to subside.
Meantime, do see your doctor for an early review.

I'm sorry to hear you are having a bad time. It takes around two weeks for filler to fully settle down. You may be experiencing post procedural swelling that will reduce. I would recommend that you do see your treating practitioner though to rule out an infection.
Filler can be dissolved at any stage providing its hyaluronic acid and that there is no infection present.

After getting filler, there is a period of time that you can look puffy. This should settle down within a week or two. Bruising can also cause temporary unevenness.  If you absolutely hate the filler placement and want it dissolved, you can do it at anytime. If you feel you are swelling unnaturally and unusually and have visual problems, then you need to go back to your doctor immediately to be checked out. -Dr. Yovino

I'm worried to hear you have unilateral cheek swelling that is increasing in size. Let your Aesthetic Dr know ASAP, this could be an infection. You may need a private prescription for antibiotics +/- steroids. I usually give my patients my out of hours contact number for such emergencies. If on review this isn't an infection then he/she will be able to advise on when to dissolve your filler.
