Sometimes threads can shift or move after placement. And if this happens they can poke out through the areas where they were placed. We usually anticipate this as a possibility and tend to cut the threads short where they are placed. But yes, this can happen sometime and the best thing to do in my opinion is to return to the surgeon who placed them and he or she will likely trim the threads if needed or guide you in the right direction.I hope this helps!
