Would having children after a BBL affect the results or should I wait until I’m completely done having kids before a BBL?

hello thank you for your question and provided information as well. Based on your question, it is a very personal decision, but my recommendation is to have the children that you are going to have and then plan a plastic surgery.

Great question!  Do understand that with a BBL, there are live living fatty tissue in the buttocks that will grow and shrink with weight gain and weight loss.  Although the pregnancy itself will not directly affect the results, having the body undergo significant weight gain then significant weight loss can affect the volume and shape of the buttocks.  So long story short, yes the affects of pregnancy can change the results of the BBL due to the weight gain and weight loss associated with this.Best of luck and hope this information helps!

Many patients who undergo BBL and lipo have children after the procedures. I typically recommend that a patient wait at least six months to become pregnant after a BBL.  The procedure forever alters the distribution of fat in a favorable way.  The fat that lives in the buttocks from the procedure will get larger with weight gain and smaller with weight loss.  Pregnancy can definitely change your overall shape, muscle tone, and skin laxity. The effects of liposuction on the skin are variable based upon the elasticity of the skin. If you go through a pregnancy, the skin will lose some of its elasticity.  This loss of elasticity will occur whether you have the liposuction or not.  Very few women have good skin after pregnancy, but you may be one of the lucky ones.
