Hi @sblie. The use of taping the nose post op is to help reduce swelling and prevent the formation of scar tissue. I recommend taping to all my patients. I would discuss with your surgeon regarding duration of taping.

That said, when there is swelling of the supratip area of the nose, we often recommend a dilute steroid injection to help the swelling go down. This may be a better option than taping. Please consult with your rhinoplasty surgeon so you could see what might be best for you moving forward. Hope this helps! Dr Joseph
