Is There a Way to Put a Very Slight Curve in my Nose Without Surgery?

Question

I had a revision surgery 3 weeks ago. I was left with a too scooped nose so I wanted cartilage places to make it a little more straight with a slight curve. I feel that my nose is too straight now. Is it possible to get a slight curve without having surgery again?

I would recommend waiting a bit and see how you continue to heal before considering a revision. After 3 weeks, swelling will still be present which can influence the final result of your surgery. The end result may not be evident for 18-24 months following your procedure. 70% of the swelling is generally resolved after the first 3 months, and the remainder goes down over time. Give yourself a little more time to heal and for the swelling to settle down before you come to a conclusion about the profile.  You are still early in your recovery, and your profile is likely to change as the swelling subsides.

Hi, Eliza,

	Three weeks is too early to judge the results of a revision rhinoplasty. Your nose will be changing and losing swelling for at least a year, more likely 18 months or so.

	Also, revision rhinoplasty is so difficult, that it's rarely wise to operate to change anything "slightly." Every time you have surgery, some new feature will appear to bother you. My opinion is that you should back burner the idea of more surgery for at least a year or so.

At just 3 weeks  after revision rhinoplasty, it is too early to say how the nose will look in the long run. More than likely the nose is still swollen. Give it a year to heal.

Unless you have a long rigid straight graft or implant you are probably not yet seeing the final result at 3 weeks. I would caution against looking for additional work this early.
