Sculptra reconstitution time?

The amount of time that Sculptra is reconstituted before a treatment is really up to the discretion of the treating physician. As long as the product is mixed well, I do not believe the reconstitution time makes any difference in the results.

Your consultant was correct that reconstitution of Sculptra does not have to be done ahead of time. Sculptra's latest FDA approval study showed no difference in molecular structure with hydration immediately before or 72 hours before. Additionally, there was not any increase in adverse outcomes as a result.

If an agitator is present in the practice, Sculptra can be mixed on the spot and be used directly. But after many years of experience I still find that Sculptra is much better mixed after approximately 72 hours following the reconstitution.
