Hi! I'm a 34yrs old woman. I've have been contemplating a sliding genioplasty for my recessed chin. I'm a mother of twins aged 13months - they're quite the handful! I can manage to rest the first week post-op. But I'm afraid that as I resume usual activities, I'd inadvertently get head-butted (or some other impact) by my toddlers, etc. How stable and strong are the bone segments/ plates in the early days and weeks post-op, and what sort of impact does it take to affect the alignment of the chin?
