Hi, I’m Lauren, the aesthetic injector here at Colorado Plastic Surgery Center.Red light therapy can be safely used in conjunction with PRP treatments, typically starting 48 hours after your injection. In fact, it may even be beneficial, as it can help enhance healing and improve overall results.
PRP/PRF/Biofiller injections are great to combine with red light therapy! We have both treatment modalities at our facility and often I recommend patients bundle these treatments to get the best results. The best timing for these treatments is to do the red light bed first to prime the DNA and mitochondria so that when the PRP/PRF/Biofiller is injected, the cells are ready to repair and get to work rejuvenating your skin or hair. I highly recommend bundling these treatments to maximize the results of your PRP/PRF/Biofiller treatments.
Both therapies are excellent approaches for skin rejuvenation and can be done together. However, I would first ask in what setting are you receiving the PRP (eg. microneedling, scalp restorations) and are the PRP injections in the same area you are receiving the RED Light therapy? I would not necessarily recommend Red Light therapy immediately after a microneedling procedure that uses RF--one might not be tolerate the potential skin irritation that can result from either treatment. However, if your are receiving straight PRP injections without any other procedure or treatment, I would not hesitate to recommend doing the Red Light therapy during the same session. If you are doing either treatment for the first time, you may want to space out the 2 treatments just to make sure you don't have any side effects from either treatment before you combine the two.
Hi, thank you for your question! I do not know of any contradictions of receiving prp with microneedling after receiving a tattoo on a different area of the body. As long as the tattoo is not in the same area as the microneedling this is safe to do.
Hi, PRP is made by concentrating your own blood and is great for under the eyes precisely because it does not carry the risk of foreign body reaction such as nodules. It is almost impossible for PRP itself to have caused this unless there was something else added to the PRP or if it was...
Hi @kayozzy! PRP is a natural and non-surgical solution to treat under eye circles and bags. PRP is highly effective for restoring sunken eyes. I recommend a series of 3-6 sessions for optimal results. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!
