Hi there! I’m thinking about getting PRF under eye dark circles and hollowness. Would it work for me?

PRP can work in minimizing your dark circles in multiple pathways. First of all, it creates new blood vessels in the area, which will carry more oxygen to your eyes and brighten the look around your eyes. The increased blood flow will also help with skin elasticity and make the area plumper. Since under-eye bags and dark circles are a result of a hollowness created by volume loss around the eyes, plumping up the area with increased blood flow and, consequently, more oxygen, vitamin B12, iron, and other nutrients. I recommend to my patients to start with 1-3 sessions every 4-6 weeks for best results. Platelet Rich Fibrin, also known as “PRF”, is an evolution of PRP that uses a similar solution but with more stem cells, white blood cells and fibrin from your blood. These three components add to the healing potential of blood plasma to deliver even more healing potential. PRF is a type of platelet concentrate that has gained popularity in various medical fields. It is prepared by processing the patient's blood to concentrate platelets, growth factors, and other bioactive proteins. PRF is a more advanced, fine-tuned version of PRP. Both are great treatments, but you may be recommended one over the other depending on your area of treatment and other considerations. I would recommend meeting with a certified injector for a in person evaluation!
