Temple veins - is there any way to completely remove them? (photo)

Prior to the new Ellipse Nordlys, I have been unable to treat these vessels.  Surgical ligation is an option but creates some visible scarring.  This system has a new YAG laser that can eliminate them usually with 1 procedure and a 3-4/10 pain.These vessels can not be injected with a sclerosant because the material could potentially migrate to the retinal vessels and cause blindness.This laser coagulates the blood in the vessels and when dialed in creates no bruising or visible problems.Really remarkable and very exciting to offer this options to our patients.All my BestDr Bengtson

The temple veins can be treated by local phlebectomies under local anaesthetic . This  can give a  good cosmetic result .

The posted pictures of the temporal veins can be easily treated by sclerotherapy.  2 to 3 treatments are usually necessary.  The cost varies depending on the physician doing the procedure and the amount of veins injected.  To find a surgeon who does this, check out vein experts or vein directory websites.
