Please see photo I’m getting worried I just had Nova threads done one side had zero issue or pain my left side has swollen up like a ballon I’m About 7hrs out from The procedure I can’t eat and that side is in severe pain is this just due to swelling or should I be worried ??

Answer: Severe swelling post Nova Thread lift This is a very unusual amount of swelling following a polydioxanone thread insertion. It is a very safe technique and a retrospective chart review called Outcomes of polydioxanone knotless thread lifting for facial rejuvenation (Suh DH, et al. Dermatol Surg. 2015) confirmed this. The results were good, and complications were low and not serious (bruising). This looks like a hematoma (blood collection) and I would advise you to notify your physician immediately for follow up and treatment. Until then, ICE and more ICE. Answer: Threads of face Occasionally an area can have significant swelling and bruising after threads and will resolve but often slowly. Recommend icing and delay future threads until healed.
