Will PDO NovaThreads show through my skin?

Question

Thinking of doing the nova threads or pdo threads (not sure of the differences) for marionette lines.. is it worth it? are they better than doing filler? Will the threads show through my skin? Will threads migrate? I have a round face and hate to add more volume to my face

Hi there and thanks for your question! A thread lift is a great alternative to a surgical face lift. It is minimally invasive, less expensive, and has no downtime.  A thread lift targets the marionette lines and jowl area.  The dissolvable sutures are placed beneath the skin and dissolve over time, allowing collagen to grow in their place.  The sutures do not show through your skin. Thank you for your question. Nova Threads are dissolvable polydioxanone (PDO) threads made from the same dissolving material as surgical sutures. Nova Threads are placed beneath the skin to provide a support structure for new collagen growth while reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles. They should not migrate and show thru the skin. We use Nova Threads to treat lower face skin laxity and facial wrinkles such as marionette lines, nasolabial folds and laugh lines.
