Why do I set off airport metal detectors after my surgery? Don't want to do my BBL before clearing this up.

Thank you for the very interesting question.  During surgery it may be that titanium clips were used to stop small blood vessels from bleeding (very common surgical instrument).  The body in general does not react to these clips.  As they are titanium and usually a very small amount, they do not usually set off metal detectors.  It is possible if there are clips just under the skin that they could affect the image of the back-scatter Xray devices that are in use now.  You can have an X-ray to see if there is anything there and for reassurance that there is nothing else that shouldn't be there.  If it is only clips present, it likely isn't worthwhile to go find them - they are small and may be very challenging to find again in the scar tissue.  Hope that helps, and have a blessed day.
