I am currently taking a low dose Metropol (beta blocker) for chest angina. Is it ok to have PRP treatment for hairloss while I am on this? Thank you in advance!

Answer: PRP and a beta blocker You can have PRP while you are on a beta blocker. Are you also on baby aspirin? This could make the procedure more difficult and "messier" from extra bleeding.

Answer: Beta Blockers and PRP I am not aware of any contraindication but Beta blockers are sometimes associated with hair loss. Is there a concurrence in the onset of your hair loss with Metropol? Bear in mind that it would likely take several months for the Metropol to cause hair loss. If there is no association, then fine. If there is I would suggest another medication be substituted before the PRP treatment. This could be all that needs to be done (and it will take at least 3 months to know if it was a factor). I see no point in having a PRP treatment if the cause of the hair loss is on-going.
