In my opinion, you should return to the surgeon who performed the procedure. Ask them for an assessment. You may have a reportable event. It may be reported to the FDA as well as the company, Cynosure.

Nerve damage causing weakness of the lower lip muscles is a known potential complication of neck/jowl Laser, liposuction, injection and surgical procedures. Almost always temporary correction of a permanent weakness involves a nerve grafting/muscle transposition procedure depending on the condition of the muscles effected.Your treating physician should be able to guide you how to proceed.

After 2 years of nerve deficit, it is unlikely that nerve damage could be improved. In some cases adequate testing should help determine the level of injury. At this point, it is likely that the muscles that do the function might not recover. However, consulting with a facial nerve paralysis clinic should be your next step. 

Finally, make sure that you have a
consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon.
