Question

I applied Perfect Derma Peel at home Tuesday and then after a few days skin began to loosen and come off I did pull some that was loose. My face is red and tight now, a little soreness when I wash it, but seems to be healing Does every case of picking end up with hyperpigmentation or scarring? In photo I have after peel moisture and mineral spf on face

Peels are great and need to be treated carefully after your procedure.  You should be applying moisturizer and staying out of the sun.  When you pick your skin after a peel you risk infections, scarring, and hyperpigmentation.  Not every case of picking causes scars but it is best to take the proper precautions.  Best, Dr. Green

Picking at your skin after a chemical peel may delay and impair healing as well as increasing the risks of scarring, bleeding, infection or hyper-pigmentation.
