No peeling 6 days after chemical peel for pigmentation, is it normal? Does salicylic cleanser affect the peeling process?

Thank you for your question. I suggest that you review your recovery process and expectations with your board certified facial plastic surgeon. Some peels are very light and will not cause a level of peeling you may expect. Keep in mind that each patient reacts to treatments differently.

Hi renyaiswift,Do you know what type of peel you received? If you haven't received a peel before typically the provider will start you off with a superficial peel. This is the lightest peel and will give you a very nice, natural glow. This will stimulate the exfoliation process, but you will not have dramatic peelsKeep in mind that not all peels are designed to make you peel, and that peeling is a side effect. Chemical peels are designed to shed away the top layers of the skin, revealing healthy new skin. Please consult with your provider who did the peel to clear up any miscommunication that might have occurred.
