Washing face 3 days after deep chemical peel.

Question

I had a deep chemical peel aca. Day 3,When I opened my mouth wide, the skin cracked. I waited after hydrating, took a dry washcloth and gently "scrubbed" the flaking off. This area was from my chin to nose not cheeks. Later my face began cracking open more.I called my doctor, he said take a shower and rub the skin. But it seemed all my skin rolled off! It did not hurt. 1. damaged my skin? Will I scar 2. hyperpigmentation? 3. How long out of the sun? I'm 100% out of it. Hate hats Thanks!

Hi orangey123,Although I would have preferred that you let nature takes its course, that's water under the bridge. I suggest that you moisturize 3 to 4 times a day, wear the recommended sunscreen and don't forget to use undereye cream.In the next few days you'll see a more fresh-faced and glowing you.However if you notice and wounds or raw areas, do see your doctor.All the best,Justin Harper, M.D.
