Pdo threading for “fox eyes”

Question

I came across an instagram doctor page where they promote the “cat eye” look using threading to the temple. I asked a clinic in nyc if they do that & was told it doesn’t hold up but on the Euro doctor’s page they mentioned it lasts for 1-2 years. Is this true? If so, is there a clinic in nyc to get it done?

Thread Lifts are not permanent, no procedure can stop the ageing process, which includes the sagging of brows. We use Soft Silhouette Threads which results can last for up to 2 years, however, these results fade with time rather than lasting for 2 years then suddenly dropping.

I would be very wary of clinics promoting unusual trends and results online as I have seen many images online being manipulated either digitally or with make-up to make the before image look worse, the after better or both.

PDO threads can lift the lateral brow.  These threads stimulate collagen.  The duration of the threads stimulating collagen depends on the age and condition, overall health, sun exposure and genetics of the patient.  Smokers have shorter duration of action of any anti-aging procedure. Skin care combined with professional skin health procedures  like facials and peels can help to get a 1-2 year duration.  This may not be a 1-2 year procedure in someone over 40, however. As trends come and go a longer duration for this particular procedure may not be desirable.

Understand seeing these postings on the internet can be very mis leading. In my experience of hundreds of PDO/Silhouette suture lifts, "nothing" lasts more than 6 months at best. Yes, there are exceptions but these are the rare ones. Any threading/suture lift has inherent short life spans (under 6 months). So go try them but expect very temporary results.
