Mole on philtrum removal. Will it cause any deformity?

Question

I have a mole right in the Philtrum depression. If I get it removed by shave excision, will it cause any deformity of normal facial feature?? Will the stitching of skins in that area cause any change in my cupids Bow or my lips?

Nice photo and great questions -- mole removal from the face requires a true expert -- do not choose a doctor who dabbles in this sort of work.  I have removed countless facial moles and each one is unique and offers specific challenges.  From your one single photo, i would suggest a shave-type excision, but the mastery is in removing the mole as perfectly flat as possible without distorting any underlying structures.  Almost certainly the mole can be removed and it will likely look much, much better -- but you may always have some irregularity of the skin surface, and may have some pigmentation (color) changes of the skin in that area.  This is the human face we are talking about, and although i am sure you would like to make this growth just vanish entirely, you should be realistic. You must be patient after removal and allow the proper healing time before you judge your final outcome -- 6 months is what I tell my patients. Also, you should protect that area from the sun during your healing time. Please make sure to seek out a board-certified, fellowship-trained MD plastic surgeon with specific expertise in Face Mole Removal.
