I recently had 3000 Grafts placed in the frontal part of my head and I noticed 13 days post op that a few of my donor sites had ingrowns . It was not just a bump from healing - it actually had hairs in them . Can it be that some of the follicle was left behind or the tissue ? And can it be that I will still grow hair on those few donor grafts ?

Answer: It is normal to have a few ingrown hairs in the donor area.
Hello. I noticed you wrote in several months ago and was wondering how you’re doing. At this point you should have full growth and hopefully things are going well. If you have nay questions please let me know. Best wishes.Dr. T
Shedding is the loss of the transplanted hairs. Shock loss on the other hand is hair loss surrounding the transplanted area. Generally, the hair lost during shock loss will return.
