I recently had 3000 Grafts placed in the frontal part of my head and I noticed 13 days post op that a few of my donor sites had ingrowns . It was not just a bump from healing - it actually had hairs in them . Can it be that some of the follicle was left behind or the tissue ? And can it be that I will still grow hair on those few donor grafts ?

Hello. It is fairly common to get ingrown hairs after a transplant and in general don’t pose a problem. It’s best to put a warm compress on them two times daily. If they become red and/or painful contact your doctor as they could become infected and would need treatment.

Ingrown hairs after hair transplantation is common.  Oftentimes, it is simply treated with warm compression twice daily and they will spontaneously resolve. Be sure to check in with your doctor should they persist over the coming week or you demonstrate the common signs of infection including spreading redness, pain or fevers.

Hi there,
First off the best person to ask would be your own surgeon. The reason you paid a lot more than the cost it takes for a tech to do the work is so that he or she can answer these questions and they better be willing and available! 
That being said you likely do have in grown hairs at this point (2 weeks). Most of the donor site should be healed. Generally some massage and compresses should help but sometimes they need to be unroofed by the surgeon. Hope that helps and congrats!
