Microneedling PRP 11 days ago: I still have red marks and bruises and a pimple caused from the procedure. (Photo)

Please someone help me understand what is going on. Those dark marks are bruises according to my esthetician and the redness is just taking time to heal because I have ultra sensitive skin. I am just so distraught and upset and am crying every day because of what has happened to me. Before this I had some scars but nothing this visible and extreme. I am a mess and am afraid this is all permanent damage. I am desperate for answers.

Yes, this is common in some skin after microneedling + PRP. No need to worry. This will clear up very quickly. Use a warm compress before cleansing and it should help release the pockets. If you have concerns I would recommend following up with your provider.Best to you,

I like to have my patients hold on the Tetrinoin 2-3 days prior to microneedling because the skin might be more sensitive, but Tetrinoin will not interfere with the microneedling results.

An aesthetician is licensed to treat patients with a microneedling device. A dermatologist or a plastic surgeon do perform microneedling treatment in their practices but do not perform them an Aesthetician would perform the treatment.
