Would doxycycline medication affect my under eye fillers?

Question

I know some medications are to be stopped, but what about doxycycline used to treat acne? Would it interfere or not?

Thank you for your question. You are safe. Docycycline will not interfere or affect any HA fillers, even the undereye one. I advise my patients to avoid alcohol before and at least 48 hrs after any HA injections as I noticed it causes the swelling to be pronounced.  Hope this helps. Best, Dr.Avaliani

You can continue to take your doxycycline without any problems. It does not affect the results of the filler in any way. Good luck!

Antibiotics will not affect your facial injections or any injections under the eyes.  Antibiotics do not cause bruising or capillary fragility.  I prefer Belotero and Restylane for the under eye area. Please consult an expert in under eye fillers to have the best cosmetic result. Best, Dr. Green

Doxycycline for your acne should not affect the fillers used to treat your under eye area. You can continue using Doxycycline for your acne.
