Hi there! I used to have a cleft chin- a small but noticeable line down the middle (like a butt chin but less pronounced!) I am now in my mid 30s and it has completely disappeared and I am desperate to get it back! It was one of my favourite features and without it my face is pretty bland. Could it just have disappeared over time or could it perhaps be due to something like weight gain on my face? I'd do anything to get it back- whether losing weight or having some kind of procedure. THANK YOU!

When you refer to flattening the chin, I am assuming you mean decreasing the roundness of most projecting part of the chin. This require a reduction of the most projecting part of the chin bone from a submental approach.
Thank you for posting your question. Yes.....you can create a chin cleft or enhance a pre-existing cleft in the chin with a minor surgical procedure. I typically perform these procedures here in the office under local anesthetic. Downtime is minimal. Locate a Plastic Surgeon, Board...
A protruding chin like yours has both bone and soft tissue excess. Your chin reduction is best done from a submental approach to remove both excessive bone and the excessive chin pad soft tissue that will result. A chin reduction can be combined with a rhinoplasty during the same procedure.
