How soon after Emsculpt should I expect results?

Question

I just had my second session (of four, to be spaced out over two weeks). I see absolutely no difference, but in others’ reviews, it seems like they are seeing visible results immediately following each treatment. One other woman went so far as to say that she saw she had abs the second she got off the bed after one session. Now I’m concerned that it simply isn’t doing anything for me. How long does it typically take to begin to start seeing results?

Hi aps,Like snowflakes, all abdominals are different.  Some patients may see Emsculpt result sooner than others.  We have had some patients notice improvement after 2-3 weeks, while for others it may take months.  The technology is still too new for us to know why some patients respond quicker and better than others.  Be patient as the results are usually seen about 2 to 3 months after treatment and may continue to improve over 4 to 6 months.  Good luck and be well.Dr. PEncino, CA

Hello, and thank you for your question!The study protocols demonstrate that maximal improvement can be seen 10-12 weeks after your first session.  This is assuming you continue a healthy and active lifestyle. Results are highly dependent on the amount of subcutaneous fat in the treatment area.  For example, people with a lower percentage body fat will feel firmer in the treatment area quicker and sometimes cannot tolerate the full power of the treatment.  As with any non-surgical treatment, expectations vary and have to be managed given your specific complaints.  Good luck to you and be patient.

Although some people are able to notice a difference immediately, the results tend to reach their final stage within 2 to 6 weeks after the first treatment and improve over a period of six months, making this one of the fastest procedures available. You can continue to get treatments to maintain the results. In addition, how fast you will see results will depend on how quickly your body is able to develop and tone muscles.

Seeing results from the EmSculpt series of treatments varies from person to person. It also depends on body composition before the treatment starts. Generally speaking people start to see results around the 1 month mark with improvement showing out to around 4 to 6 months...and even longer in some cases. The improvement in core strength usually comes quicker. The biological process of fat loss takes a bit longer. Make sure you stay on top of diet and exercise to maximize the results. Best of luck!! Hi, thank you for your question. Abdominal treatments are typically performed as a series of 4 treatments each spaced 2-5 days apart. Usually this is done over a span of 2 weeks. Results are typically seen a month or two after the last treatment.  However, as with any procedure, this can vary from patient to patient.  Please seek a certified health care provider for a follow up appointment and evaluate if further treatments are needed.

Because Emsculpt is building muscle while also burning the overlying fat, the results can take some time to see.  Studies have reported seeing your result 8-12 weeks after completing your 4 sessions and the newest reports show continued improvement for up to 6 months and maintenance of the muscle at a year.
People who report immediate visible results are reporting the muscle tightness and engagement seen just like having pumped muscles after a hard work out. 
Keep at it and follow up with your practitioner at 8 and 12 weeks! I'm sure you will be happy with your final results.
