Working out until the day before surgery should be fine, after surgery is a different story. I would say speak to your surgeon because depending on the type of workout you want to do AFTER surgery he will give you his instructions on when you can start.
Specific instruction should come only from your surgeon. My practice you would be permitted to work out until the day before liposuction surgery.
Liposuction is a great procedure and the best candidate are those that are active but just can not get the shape of their body that they want.Exercise is important and we do not ask for any restrictions. At the same time, make sure that you discuss these questions with your doctor. As always, I recommend thorough assessment and consultation with experienced doctor prior to proceeding with any treatments.Best regards and I hope this helps, Dr. Sapijaszko.
I think you should continue working out till the day you have lipo. Get your core/muscles in the best shape possible and lose the most weight possible, especially if having a hi definition procedure. Best, Dr. Emer.
Don't stop working out. Keep going right up until your lipo and start walking the next day after lipo.
There is no reason to stop working out before liposuction. You can ask your surgeon about their post operative protocols for liposuction patients. Good luck with your upcoming procedure!
There is no need to stop working out prior to surgery, and after surgery you can resume exercising as soon as your surgeon says it is safe, usually a few days to a few weeks depending on exactly what you are having done. Best of luck to you.
Thanks for this question. You do not need to stop working out before liposuction. In fact it's probably a good idea to be in the best possible shape that you can be in, for the anaesthetic. You can likely restart working out the week after surgery, depending on how much work you are getting done.
Working out up until the day before surgery will not cause any harm. It is actually recommended to continue your working out routine so you don't gain any extra potential weight that the lipo might not be able to address. It is very important to be at your goal weight before surgery to achieve the best possible result. Be sure to check with your doctor about restarting your workout routine after surgery to maintain your surgical results.
In my practice, a patient can work out up until the day of surgery. You want to stay well hydrated before and after the procedure.
I appreciate your question. Cost varies by geographic location, surgeon expertise, OR time, anesthesia, length of procedure etc. I would recommend that you see a board certified plastic surgeon in your area who specializes in aesthetic and restorative plastic surgery and who is also a...
Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photograph, you are a great candidate for liposuction of your posterior neck region. I have done this many times with nice results for patients. The most important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you...
This is damage to the skin from liposuction and can be improved with vascular lasers and RF treatments but typically is permanent. Its an unfortunate risk with any liposuction procedure but moreso with laser or ultrasound procedures or aggressive approaches. Best, Dr. Emer.
The answer depends on how much fat you are hoping to have removed. If its a small voume, local anesthesia is perfectly safe in the hands of an expert and will shorten your recovery time. General anesthesia should be used in larger volume and VASER HI DEF 4D contouring procedures. Lipos...
Thank you for your question and photos. Breast tissue can happen along the mammary line from the armpit to the groin or labia. You would benefit from liposuction of these areas and also breast tissue excision including the rudimentary nipple at the same time if you want to avoid future "breast" ...
It is normal to have asymmetrical swelling after liposuction but if you have symptoms please see your physician. It takes weeks to months for swelling to resolve. Lymphatic massage, hyperbaric oxygen and compression helps. Best, Dr. Emer.
