Severe Orange Peel Texture after CO2 Laser. Is this post-laser milia? Scarring? (Photo)

I got a fully ablative CO2 laser 7 months ago and have been struggling with a horrendous texture that appeared after and has seemingly worsened in the past 3 months. The skin is glossy/shiny. It has a rough texture with hypertrophic bumps everywhere. The skin doesn’t look like skin. I can only go outside at night. Is it post-laser milia? Is it scarring? Is it recoverable from?

You will always have a scar in that area. Perhaps your tissue would handle excising the scar and radiation treatments afterwards. You would need to be examined to see if this might work for you.

It is possible that you may be using some sort of ointment on the treated area after your CO2 laser procedure. You should be able to wear a mask afterwards, but the mask may stick to the ointment. While the area is healing, it normally would be best not to have the area exposed to anything...
