Do Ergonomix implants need to be implanted differently?

My doctor doesn't usually use Ergonomix technology. I really want a Motiva Ergonomix Implant, I've already checked the technologies and I love both the safety and the natural effect. I know that this technology of this implant is different, and as my doctor does not have much experience with this technology, I was in doubt... Ergonomix implants need to be implanted differently to have the "drop" effect? note: my implants will be positioned behind the muscle.

Thank you for your question. Without examining you but simply focusing on your question, the technique used is placing all breast implants is the same. The Motiva Ergonomix is a bit trickier since its softness demands extra care to make sure it is positioned properly and evenly without folds. This is true whether placed above or below the pectoral muscle.

That said, I’m not convinced that the long term result is different or better with a Motiva implant compared with the three other major manufacturers. As a patient you have every right to select both your surgeon and your preferred implant but in the end, you want to trust your surgeon’s recommendations. Best of luck to you.

Plastic surgeons are not paid by implant comapnies to use their products; they choose the ones they think work the best, are most durable, and have the best long term safety and durability profile. It is best for patients not to fall for advertising campaigns from implant manufacturers as you are not expert at this and have no experience or follow up history. Just consider all those who were attracted recently to the Ideal saline implant and now the company is gone.
