I had an upper and lower blepharoplasty last winter. At first I was mesmerizehow open and fresh my eyes looked, but with time I have started to have regrets. I certainly needed my eyelids adjusted, but I feel that a more conservative approach would have been better. I feel my eyes look hollow and my whole appearance has changed. I never had much upper eyelid show so the change is too big now. Did my surgeon remove too much? Will the eyelids drop with time? Can this be reversed?

Answer: Thanks for sharing Dear Debbie W, Thanks for uploading your photos. In your before photo, you do have eyelid hooding and extra skin. In your after photo you have an improved eyelid platform show. This is youthful. I agree, it is a dramatic change and improvement from your before photo and you are adjusting to your "new" eyes. Your eyelid skin will drop and become redundant with time. You cannot reverse surgery. If you were desiring more volume added to the upper eyelid area, you can consider hyaluronic acid injections to add volume. I hope this helps answer your question. Answer: Regrets after Blepharoplasty I am afraid you got exactly what you requested. Although I would not have operated on you, whoever did did an absolutely excellent job. What you need now is not a plastic surgeon (or any surgeon). You need someone who can help you feel good about yourself. Until you do, nothing will ever make you happy.
