Deep plane facelift - will 1 year old PCL threads interfere?

PCL threads are biodegradable, but they take up to two years to fully dissolve, so they can potentially interfere with a future facelift.That said, an experienced surgeon can often remove the threads during the facelift procedure.However, if a large number of threads were previously inserted, it may not be possible to remove every single one, and this can sometimes contribute to less-than-ideal results.

PCL threads will not interfere as long as your surgeon is aware of it. If you find them during dissection they can be cut out. Sometimes they can completely pulled out, if not they can be trimmed.
