Which procedure would help minimize the appearance of papular acne scars on the chin? (photos)

I have been treating papular acne scars with gratifying results for many years. In my experience, the excess fibrous tissue underlying papular acne scars, much like the fibrosis in hypertrophic scars, quite often responds to intralesional steroid injections. The lack of success here may be due to an inappropriate choice of concentration and or amount of the injected steroid to get the job done. So an adjustment of the above parameters may be all that is needed for a successful outcome. In cases of lack of response, I have found that Scalpel Sculpting or light electrocautery to debulk the protruding portion of the scars followed by the intralesional steroids to be quite effrective in dealing with more resistent lesions. Make sure that you consult an experienced, board certified cosmetic dermatologist with extensive acne scar treatment experience. Best of luck.
