Should I ask injector to confirm and show me the exact brand of injectable before injection?

I highly recommend Dysport for Botox and Juvederm for fillers. They are great for the long term results. I do not recommend clinics that use nurses for Botox or filler injections at all . These type of clinical treatments must be performed by qualified doctors.

It's a good idea to ask questions whenever it involves your body and injectables. Given the increasing number of injectors - I suggest asking first:
How many years have you been injecting full time? The more years - the more experienced.
Ask to see the vial or syringe Expiration Date to make sure you are getting what you requested.
At our practice - each provider shows every patient the vial or syringe with the expiration date so they know what they are getting.

Unfortunately, concerns over products delivered in poorly regulated medical spas are often valid. It is perfectly reasonable to request to see the botox vial which should be marked with a laser hologram which makes the genuine vial easier to identify. It is also reasonable to request to know how many units of botox were injected as most providers charge by the unit.

You are absolutely welcome to request to see the product vials and/or syringes that are being injected. Each Botox vial will have a serial number as well as an expiration date. If you are uncomfortable with your injector do not proceed with treatment. Make sure that your injector is experienced. You should feel free to ask questions and to see before/after photos if available.

You absolutely should know what is being injected into you and what you are paying for. You are in charge of your care and you have every right to ask. Do not ever feel that you can not ask questions. A proper physician would respect the fact that you want to be informed.

It scares me quite a bit when people mention injectors. The word injector usually implies that it’s not a plastic surgeon or dermatologist who has the most experience amongst other groups.
You are spending a great deal of money on receiving a product and you should definitely ask what it is and even receive a small sticky label specifying what the product is and the serial or lot number on it. If you went to get an oil change for your car, you wouldn’t just tell the mechanic to change oil and not know what kind of oil you’re getting. If you don’t trust your providers, then maybe either you should find providers you can trust or consider looking into why you don’t trust providers to have your best interest at hand.
Why do you think they are lying to you about what product they use? Sailing solution is 0.9% sodium chloride mixed with sterile water.
There are no varieties.
Sailing made for multi use vials may have preserver in it. Saline solution is saltwater, which comprises the number one ingredient in your body. You cannot be allergic to saline.
You can ask your providers to show you the vile they’re drawing in the medication from, but don’t be surprised if you get judged, as being the type of patient who asks to see this.
In the end, the relationship needs to be based on trust. If providers wanted to cheat you by diluting the product or giving you less than they claim, then they can easily do this.
The great majority of providers are honest and take patient advocacy seriously.
in the end, I suggest trying to have a bit more faith in your healthcare providers. No one has to have Botox treatments.
