After cheek implant removal: replacement or facelift?

Hello, Im in my mid forties. I had porex implants /submalar for about 12 years. I had them removed. I had no complications whatsoever. They have been out now for about 2.5 years. I have some sagging in the mid face/ cheek region. My implants were medium but really more like a large. I feel like small silicone implants would help. I dont feel like a FL could work as well, cosidering they were Medpore. In advance, I know I must be seen etc, but any opinions on this, is appreciated.

Good Afternoon, Amelie! After implant removal, there can be a "dead-space" that needs to be occupied as the skin may not contract back to its original form. A silicone or MedPor implant can help to replace the space and sizing would vary based on in person evaluation and your desires. A facelift can rejuvenate volume and the skin, but may not be enough if your malar region (bony projection) is truly deficient. Fat transfer is a popular treatment which involves moving fat, typically from around the belly button, into the face for improvement in volume. Unlike filler, the results last 5-10 years and higher volumes can be transferred. Hope this helps you!
