Do petite skinny girls have to get high profile breast implants?

Question

I'm 5ft tall & 95lbs. I have cohesive gel high profiles. I need a 3rd revision bc my left keeps bottoming out and I have a dent on that breast that keeps forming in the same area. I went on a consultation & was told HP (bc of my narrow back) & complete under. He told me the implant will be higher & showed me the slight position. Now this looks like bolted ons. I hate that look, a lot(full top). Do I have to get HPs bc of my size? I want a more natural full C look. I was a full A/small B before.

size and type would best be done through an in-person examination.  There
are a lot of factors that can affect your choice like the desired end result,

If you are petite or narrow, because of your measurements, high profile implants seem to be the best option.  You can consider a moderate plus implant but the implant may be too wide for your body.  If implants are too wide for your frame and you are small, sometimes you can appear to be heavier than you are.  Go see a few board certified plastic surgeons and get your options.  Give it a lot of thought and go from there.  Best of luck. ac

In a patient with a petite frame and minimal breast tissue a High Profile implant has the potential to create a shelf like deformity.  I typically prefer Moderate Profile Plus.  If you are bottoming out the question arises whether you may need some support of the lower pole of your breast.  If so, this can be accomplished with Strattice to create a sling.  I would discuss this with your plastic surgeon.

I find that in a very narrow or petite woman if she wants large implants, she is often better off with HP implants based upon her measurements.

Its challenging to give you a good answer without photos to see how you were at the start and what you look like now, but, its sounds like you may have too big an implant for your size.  Width can be an issue for slight women and therefore the coice of a high profile implant.I'm not sure what the "dent" is all about.  Maybe the muscle attachment to the skin?  Or is it a deformity inside?Bottoming out is a problem and requires some special maneuvers and skills to fix satisfactorily.A high profile implant may help if past implants were too wide for your body.Other things that might need to be done are adjustment of your capsule or a sheet of sterilized donated skin (dry skin layer removed) to hold the implant in its proper position.Appearance of the upper area of the implant generally improves with time, as gravity takes hold and the tissues stretch a little.(I'm not clear as to whether you already had the corrective surgery.)Good luck!
