Had double mastectomy w/ reconstruction July 6 and am expanding. Is it okay to ask for second opinion during expansion? (photo)

Question

Before i decided to have it done immediately I told to my doctor that I wanted to be a little bigger than my normal boobs and he said He can go up to 450 cc. Im always a B cup and wanted a C I think its just fair to have it after all Ive been through. Yesterday appt he told me he only give me a b cup. Im really upset and I feel like he's not listening to me.

Certainly you can ask for a second opinion at any time.  However, keep in mind that breast reconstruction is not the same as breast augmentation. The physician may be concerned that the skin is getting too thin and may not be able to provide an adequate reconstruction.

Congratulations on your successful battle with breast cancer. You seem to be expanding very nicely. I would continue with expansion until you are pleased with your size and shape. That should give you a pretty good estimate of what size implant you can use. To answer your question though, sure, you can always seek another opinion at any time. Best wishes.
