Restylane or stylage? Or something else?

Dear reader I want to get lip fillers and I can choose between the products restylane or stylage. Now I really don't know what's the best product and the difference between the products (or is juvederm much better)? My priority are natural lips. Could you help me? And how is the pain if they don't use nerve blockers but just lidocaine creme 12%? Thank you and I'll hope you have a answer.

Hi @Newboobs17. A vascular occlusion would show up immediately. Signs and symptoms of an occlusion include extreme pain, redness, swelling, and blisters. Best of luck to you, Dr. Nima!

Thank you for sharing your concerns. Typically, most of the filler can be dissolved within a few hours following the injection of Vitrase. Sometimes an additional injection is required. Make sure expert injectors perform your treatments.  Good luck,

I suggest going back to your physician to get a formal evaluation to determine if this is a cold sore or apthous ulcer versus filler migration/swelling or other.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Hi @Lena_81. Most Hyaluronic acid filler including Restylane attract water. This swelling can happen when the filler is placed to superficially. I would recommend returning to your injector and dissolving the product with Hylanex. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!
