My neck used to be thick and didn't show all the innerworkings... heh. Is this just due to my weight (99 lbs at 5'3") as I used to be around 125? Or am I need of a neck surgery? It feels really awkward and loose and turning my head almost feels like I'm suffocating, lol.
Answer: Is this premature aging on my neck or is it just thin? = if very low body weight ( low body fat), very likely just too thin The appearance of the neck is affected by the body weight. The less body weight, the less fat underneath the neck skin. Therefore if there is very little neck fat, it is totally normal for the neck to show the inner workings.

Answer: Premature Aging or a Thin Neck It's best to begin by consulting with a surgeon in-person. The presence of banding down the front of the #neck, and, amount of excess skin and condition of your skin are among some factors which determine what treatments will best rejuvenate your neck . During an in-person examination, your chin will be evaluated along with the neck and jawline. A weak #chin implies a lack of chin support for the skin along the neck line. In younger individuals a chin implant alone is usually all that is needed to improve the appearance of the neck. Subsequently, it will also improve the overall #balance of the face and can create the illusion of a smaller nose. As a stand-alone procedure, chin augmentation can be performed in the office under local #anesthesia. For individuals with signs of #aging in the neck, a chin implant added to one of the recommended procedures above, will provide optimal results.A board certified plastic surgeon should evaluate both your anatomical features and aesthetic goals to suggest which procedure best suits your needs. In some cases there may be more than one option to choose from. If you are not a candidate at the time of your #consultation, your board surgeon can recommend non-surgical alternatives to address your concern.

Answer: Neck Lift Thank you for your question. It is difficult to rule definitively on your neck without an in-person examination. For that reason, I suggest that you move forward and consult with a board certified facial plastic surgeon. The consultation will allow you to ask additional questions, build rapport with your potential surgeon, and learn your options to reach your desired appearance. Best wishes,

Answer: Neck Issues Hi,Your problem is not uncommon. However, you do appear to be very thin. An in-person consultation will be required to make a recommendation. Sometimes we can inject the area with BOTOX to make the bands less prominent. Good luck.

Answer: Improving the Neck -- Botox, Ultherapy, Thermage, Sculptra, ThermiRF, Laser (Fraxel, Intensif, Co2 or Erbium) This is difficult to answer without an in-person evaluation. A combination approach with Botox, ultherapy, thermage, thermiRF, PDO threads can all give improvement to this area. I suggest you get a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer.
